The AKA Beta Alpha Originator Innovator Scholarship

The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has a long history of being originators and innovators on the campus of Florida A&M University. This scholarship award is intended to serve as a financial incentive for members of the sorority to continue leading innovation in their respective field of study.
This endowment fund held with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. ® (AKA EAF) was established to honor Bernice Gordon Greene, the last living charter member of The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. It provides support to students from the South Atlantic region (FL, GA, SC) who attend Florida A&M University and major in Education.
Alumnae of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. honors the legacies of three Alpha Kappa Alpha women who held prominent administrative positions at FAMU and always prioritized students’ successfully attaining their college education.
Norma Solomon White, 25th International President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., AKA Beta Alpha Chapter initiate, and the first female member of the "Marching 100" established this endowment fund with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. ® (AKA EAF) to award a scholarship to a female sophomore level or higher member of the FAMU “Marching 100” Band.
